Yesterday Dr Chris Walzer, the Executive Director of WCS' Health Program, testified at a virtual congressional hearing entitled "Wildlife Trade, Origins of COVID-19 and Preventing Future Pandemics"
Dr Walzer reiterated: "If this trade, and large commercial markets for wildlife for human consumption, continue unabated, then the risk of another #COVID19 like pandemic will remain high."
