What is PPLI 2024?

The Pandemic Prevention Leadership Initiative (PPLI) is designed to build capacity and strengthen collaborative approaches in Southeast Asia to address threats to global health security and biodiversity conservation posed by the unregulated trade in wildlife species.

Through its activities the PPLI will develop a network of multidisciplinary leaders who will be ready to identify and respond to the spillover of high-consequence pathogens (HCPs) in Southeast Asian live animal markets and supply chains. The Pandemic Prevention Initiative will utilize a cohort approach, case-based training, and opportunities for grant-supported independent projects.
